wow. another ben stiller movie.

dodgeball was not as funny as i expected it to be. unlike along came polly, which i knew from the start wouldn’t be knee-slapping hilarious, i had high hopes for this movie. ever since swingers, i’ve found vince vaughn to be a pretty funny dude, so i was anticipating a constantly side-splitting comedy. i was slightly disappointed.

mixed in with the side-splitting jokes was a touch of corniness that made me not enjoy it completely. although i like ben stiller, his character of white goodman was more or less derek zoolander with a seventies ‘do and porn-stache. however, i thought it was neat that his wife, christine taylor, played someone who hated him with a passion. vince vaughn did a fairly decent job in a lead role but was not the main comedic feature in the film.

i also felt that the ending wrapped up a little too neatly. there was some business mumbo-jumbo that got thrown in there that i didn’t think was necessary. they could have concluded the film a bit better.
