this movie has already become a classic in most guys’ books. i watched a pirated version of this movie from the philippines with my sister, and i didn’t really enjoy it. mind you, i wasn’t really paying attention because i was on the computer doing whatever i normally do on the computer (that’s right, looking up porn). however, when i rewatched it with my full attention, i loved it.

it’s a fresh idea with great comedic actors. vince vaughn, will ferrell, and luke wilson work so well together. the male bond among the main characters was endearing. i’ve never thought luke wilson to be very attractive in the past, but after watching old school and seeing him in those cute plaid button-down shirts and vintage jackets, i developed a sort of crush on him. owen wilson is a different story, though…

i thought the romance between mitch and that blonde chick (hussy!) was sweet and beanie’s fatherly character was hilarious (“ear muffs!”). there was a ton of memorable lines. my favourite was from the wedding singer: “when i see that fucking look in your eye…” like a cold glass of root beer, old school satisfied me from start to finish. it had bite, it had wit, it had stifler with a mullet. who could ask for anything more?
