Shark Tale
2004 Animation, Comedy
- the jokes are not as cleverly crafted as in shrek and seem to be made more for the kiddies. however, it still had its hilarious moments.
- having a few celebrity voices in an animated film is cool, but constructing the entire movie around them gets old very quick. plus, i kept imagining what the actors really looked like in my mind, and couldn’t for the life of me picture either renée zellweger or angelina jolie romantically with will smith.
- will smith is still annoying. somebody, please, stick a cork in his mouth.
- the animation was cool, but definitely runs a distant second to the colourful and lively world of finding nemo.
- the story was unique, but fell flat with characters i didn’t really care for.
- so, did anyone else think that the lenny, the “vegetarian” shark, was supposed to be gay?
with school kicking my ass every waking minute, making it impossible for me to write a coherent paragraph, i think i’ll take a cue from rachel and stick with the point-form reviews for a bit.
Final Thoughts
not as good as shrek, but still somewhat funny.
