The Grudge
2004 Horror
- they did a great job with the scary scenes. unlike the ring, which made me afraid of rooms with televisions, the grudge ruined the chances of me feeling safe in any room — and even public transit.
- i could not sleep after i watched this. seriously.
- sarah michelle gellar was alright in the movie. i thought i saw little bit of buffy in her when she kicked the kerosene container over. kapow!
- whoa, jason behr? where the hell have you been? not to a barber, obviously.
- i tried to stay away from watching the original japanese version of this movie, so as not to ruin the story for myself. but, in the end, it was the story that really took the movie down a notch. it wasn’t as intricate or as complex as in the ring, but i’ve heard that it didn’t go into the background story of the family as much as it did in ju-on, the japanese version.
Final Thoughts
scary as heck, though lacking a good background story.
