- another movie from the coen brothers that i didn’t really like. you’d think that since they were doing a remake, that they’d be able to learn from the original’s mistakes and, perhaps, take some interesting liberties with the story. but nooo…
- tom hanks wasn’t even remotely funny with his mark twain-esque lingo.
- the group of burglars didn’t have a good dynamic or even an ironic one; they just seemed slapped together and constantly at each other’s throats. and it appears that marlon wayans doesn’t mind being type-casted as the “crazy black fool”.
- was i supposed to feel sympathy for marva munson? she annoyed the hell out of me! she was exactly the same ornery woman she was in nothing to lose. type-casted, again.
- the ending was not satisfying at all.
